In 2021, a study at the Oncology unit of Tikur Anbessa Specialized Hospital, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia aimed to explore the extent of sleep quality and the factors that influence it among adult cancer patients undergoing treatment.
Data for a cross-sectional study conducted within an institutional framework was collected between March 1st and April 1st, 2021, employing the method of face-to-face structured interviews. Among the instruments used were the Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) consisting of 19 items, the Social Support Scale (OSS-3) comprised of 3 items, and the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) with 14 items. The association between the independent and dependent variables was scrutinized using logistic regression, encompassing both bivariate and multivariate approaches.
